ITANAGAR, Mar 7: The All Arunachal Pradesh Workers’ Union (AAPWU) has in a letter to the Director Arunachal Pradesh Energy Development Agency (APEDA) on Wednesday, sought immediate reconsideration of the order directing conversion of casual drivers and workers into contractual drivers and workers under APEDA.
The union termed the order as illegal and alleged it as a move to terminate casual service under the agency.
“We strongly condemn the move and appeal to the authority to reconsider the order for conversion of casual drivers/workers to contractual basis so that they can avail their service benefits according to seniority basis”, it said.
