ITANAGAR, Mar 8: Pema Samchung Flago, the woman who alleges that Chief Minister Pema Khandu and three others raped her in July 2008 at the Tawang Circuit House has said that she has filed a fresh complaint at Tawang Police Station on March 5.
Allegation of the gang rape first surfaced in 2015, when Flago filed an FIR against the four at the Itanagar Police Station. Later, it was transferred to the Tawang Police Station.
The case came up for hearing at Chief Judicial Magistrate which dismissed the case stating that the case was devoid of any merit. Subsequently, the National Commission for Women also dismissed the case on 20th February, 2018.
Addressing media persons at the Press Club here on Thursday, she denied any political motive in her move against the chief minister.
Claiming that her life is at risk, she sought for police protection and claimed that her relatives and family members at Mechuka are being threatened by “powerful people”.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pema Khandu filed a defamation case against Flago on 22 February, and later on 6 March filed injunction for repeatedly maligning his image.
