ITANAGAR, Apr 3: The All Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Service Contractors Welfare Society has urged the state government to appoint a person with technical background as the general manager of the APSTS.
In representations to the governor and the chief minister, the group on Tuesday also called for ensuring quality of maintenance work through the technical wing of the department.
It also argued that maintenance and spares management should be done by subject experts, and that the head of the department should preferably be an officer of the department with at least 10 years’ experience.
