ITANAGAR, May 12: A team of Trained Nurses’ Association of India (TNAI), Arunachal Pradesh, on Saturday visited Oju Welfare Association (OWA) to observe International Nurses Day.
The team, which comprised of state president KT Yasung, general secretary Techi Mepung, Deputy Director Nursing Kijum Karga, TRIMHS Nursing Superintendent T Taikam, TNAI executive members, tutors and interns of Arunachal Pradesh State Nursing School, visited the Swadhar Greh, Children’s Home and Shishu Greh run by the OWA.
The interns briefed the sheltered women and children on the importance of personal hygiene, especially emphasizing on hand washing techniques.
They also donated baby food and other items to the orphans.
The International Council of Nurses has chosen the theme “Nurses: A Voice to Lead-Health as a Human Right”, for International Nurses Day-2018.
