ITANAGAR, May 31: The All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) strongly opposed the state government’s policy to approve annual work plan and budget for 23 districts under ISSE, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan Scheme, and demanded that the state government not approve a separate plan under the said scheme for the capital complex.
In a representation to the chief minister on Thursday, the union urged the state government not to approve annual work plan and budget for 23 districts, saying that there are only 22 notified districts in Arunachal Pradesh, while the state assembly has not passed the District Declaration Bill for Capital Complex.
“Therefore Capital Complex cannot be made a district by approving a separate plan,” it said.
“Order No D-AR/RMSA-172008 (Pt-I), dated Itanagar,23 January, 2017, issued from the office of the education secretary, clearly states that in the absence of gazette notification for Capital Complex district, separate district annual work plan and budget for integrated RMSA 2018 will not be prepared, and plan for catchment area of Capital Complex should be integrated under the district of Papum Pare,” the union said.
