Digital terrorist

Dear Editor,
I reside in the heart of social media and my favourites are Facebook &Watsapp.
You can name me rumour. I am no respecter of justice. I murder without even killing. If you fall into my trap, I’ll break your heart and ruin your life.I am cunning like a fox. I am malevolent as a serpent and I grow taller and fatter with copy paste. The more I am circulated, the more I am believed. No matter what, given a chance I can flourish at every nook and corner of any society.
My preys are helpless as I am a predator who devours every bit of their breath. I have no name and no face that is why they cannot shield themselves against me. To track me down is possible but the harder you try, the more elusive I become.I am a friend of nobody. Once I taint a reputation it is never the same. I topple governments and break marriages. I ruin careers and cause sleepless nights. I am the engender of suspicion and breeder of grief. I make innocent people cry until they are heard no more. I keep on hissing till they are beaten to death. I hold dear the incident at Karbi Anglong for a new name was given to me ‘Xupadhora’. I laughed my heart out when they were lynched till their innocence was echoed far and wide.
I can only be defeated with what is commonly called a golden rule “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. Remember, when you repeat a story, ask yourself: is it true? Is it fair? Is it necessary? If not, do not repeat it, or else! “Don’t believe everything you read or see on the internet just because there’s a picture with a quote next to it” or else!
If after reading this article you realize that perhaps you have been working for me, then turn in your resignation today and never go back to work for me again or else!! You are next!
Yours,
