AHMEDABAD (Gujarat), Jul 26: Officers of the department of information & public relations (DIPR), Arunachal Pradesh, are undergoing a four-day capacity building programme on ‘Communication and information management’ which got underway at the Mudra Institute of Communications here on Thursday.
The inaugural session was attended by, among others, Centre for Environment Education director Kartikeya Sarabhai, who is the son of Vikram Sarabhai, who is widely regarded as the ‘father of Indian space programme’.
The DIPR officers highlighted the flagship programmes initiated by the Pema Khandu government, and also presented the challenges they face in the process of communicating information to the people in the last mile.
The training programme will cover subjects like development communication, strategic communication, crisis communication, etc. The officers will also interact with officers of the Gujarat government. Workshops on creative writing will also be conducted for the officers from Arunachal. (DIPRO)
