LONGDING, Jul 29: Longding township is being given a green makeover with the district administration deciding to plant around 10,000 saplings at all the government offices and residential quarters here.
The district administration in collaboration with the forest department distributed saplings of different species to all the heads of departments on Sunday.
Lamenting that none of the saplings that were planted last year in the town area had survived, Deputy Commissioner Vikram Singh Mallik suggested to the HoDs to take proper care of the saplings after plantation to ensure their growth. (DIPRO)
