CHIMPU, Aug 11: Narmi FC (NFC) and Solung United FC (NUFC) won their group level matches, defeating Gidum FC and RGU FC respectively in Itanagar Solung Football Tournament, 2018, played at the AAPBn ground here on Saturday.
Narmi FC came from a goal behind to beat Gidum FC 2-1, thanks to second half goals from Olik Gammi and Obuk Pado.
Earlier, Tagam Taloh gave Gidum FC the lead, scoring in the 17th minute.
Obuk Pado was adjudged ‘player of the match’.
In the morning session, Solung United grounded RGU FC 6-0. Kaling Tatin, who scored a hat-trick of goal, was adjudged ‘player of the match’.
In the veteran category, Siang Veteran beat Committee Veteran FC 3-0, where Anong Apang (36th min), Olom Darung (48th min) and Tapang Kopak (60th min) scored a goal each.
Enong Nangkar of Siang Veteran was adjudged ‘player of the match’.
