DC assures to release pending wages of IMC casual workers: JWCAPTU

ITANAGAR, Aug 29: The Joint Working Committee of Arunachal Pradesh Trade Unions (JWCAPTU) has informed that the Capital ComplexDeputy Commissioner cum Administrator Itanagar Municipal Council (IMC) Prince Dhawan has assured to release the pending wages/salaries of the causal workers of the IMC within a month.
He assured this in a joint sitting with JWCAPTU members led by its chairman Changma Tajo and secretary general Kenkar Yomcha and All Capital Complex Municipal Sanitation Workers Union president Khoda Neni and General Secretary Tayo Arjun in the latter’s official chamber here on Wednesday, a release said.
It further said that Dhawan has assured to look into other demands of the ACCM&SWU, which include release of wages of 19 casual workers, release of gracious relief of Rs 2000 as announced by the chief minister, release of wages for 20 casual drivers, maintaining seniority list for regularization, and timely release of wages.
‘Regarding release of wages for 20 casual drivers, Dhawan assured that wages will be adjusted from salary head (Non Plan) for timely payment of wages’, the release added.
