ITANAGAR, Sep 3: The All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) on Monday denounced the state government’s order to cancel all standing job advertisements issued by various departments, following the passing of the bill on the Staff Selection Board (SSB) in the legislative assembly.
In a press statement, the ANSU said although it welcomes the assembly’s passing the bill to allocate jobs district-wise under the SSB, it is apprehensive that the process of constituting the board members or committee and framing the guidelines is a due process and might take a long time.
The union stated that cancellation of the advertised government jobs in various departments would affect many candidates who are on the verge of the age limits.
It demanded that the state government reconsider and revoke the cancellation order issued by the chief secretary on 24 August for Group C/D posts and continue the recruitment process under the departments.
The ANSU also urged the government to frame suitable guidelines emphasizing on providing better benefits to the growing number of unemployed youths.
