AALO, Sep 30: Over 3600 patients visited the ‘mega health camp’ organized by the West Siang District Health Society at Gumin Kiin here on 26 and 27 September.
The patients were examined, and screening tests for certain diseases were done by a team of doctors, nurses, and laboratory technicians.
A few minor surgeries were also performed, while many patients were referred for surgeries. The needy patients were provided with medicines free of cost.
Deputy Commissioner Sode Potom expressed gratitude to the doctors, the civil society, and the Indian Army for their cooperation in making the health camp a success.
Though the camp was conducted within a very short notice the response was encouraging, said DMO Dr Nyage Geyi and DFWO Dr Tomar Kamki.
The DMO informed that various pharmacies in Aalo provided medicines for the health camp. (DIPRO)
