RONO HILLS, Nov 5: Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) will hold its 19th ‘Uni-fest’ from 7-10 November.
The annual festival of the university, which will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pema Khandu this year, will display the rich culture and tradition of the state.
The students have been divided into four houses – Sela, Mayodia, Patkai and Kangte. “The houses have been named after the natural heritages of the state, so as to display its pride,” the university informed in a release. It said the aim of the festival is to “promote discipline, sportsmanship and competitive spirit among the students.”
The houses will compete in events such as games and sports, track and field, literary and fine arts, cultural events, and the Mr and Miss University titles.
