RAGA, Dec 1: Kamle Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi inaugurated two badminton courts at the Indoor Stadium here in Kamle district on 28 November.
The courts funded under non-BADP scheme were executed by the Water Resources Department.
The deputy commissioner impressed upon the youths the necessity to lead active healthy lifestyle for overall physical and mental growth.
Highlighting the benefits of playing badminton, Loyi informed that the state government has rolled out a policy for reservations in job recruitment for meritorious sportspersons. He exhorted the youths to grab the opportunity excelling in their chosen sports.
DMO Toko Laksmi and former ACP Tekir Makcha also spoke about the importance of playing sports to stay physically fit, healthy and mentally sound.
The inaugural function was followed by a friendly match between the DC team and public team.
