TEZU, Jan 9: A meeting of the Joint High Power Committee (JHPC) on Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) for non- APST residing in Arunachal’s territory was held here on Wednesday.
Lohit Deputy Commissioner Karma Lekhi briefed about the PRC issue in the district to the JHPC during its visit.
During the meeting, views of the representative of the attending non-APST stakeholders, APST stakeholders and student unions were taken during the meeting.
The JHPC was led by its chairman, Minister for Environment and ForestNabam Rebia, JHPCmember secretary and Joint Secretary (Political) CN Longphai, along with PPA chairman Kamen Ringu, AAPSU general secretary Tobom Dai and other team members.
The meeting was also attended by SP Tezu Dr DW Thongon, administrative officers, studentorganizations like AMSU, ALDSU, representatives of CALSOM, All Mishmi Women’s Welfare Society and non-APSTs residing in Jhalukbari and Panbari villages of the district. (DIPRO)
