ROING, Jan 11: Lower Dibang Valley Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom urged the communicators under the ‘Arunachal Rising’ campaign to disseminate information about the government’s welfare schemes among students and the public, and to ensure that people apply for the benefits of the schemes.
Addressing a ‘training-cum-performance review meeting for communicators and gram preraks’ here on Friday, the DC also emphasized the need to encourage the people to take up projects under the agriculture, horticulture and tourism sectors to earn sustainable livelihood.
District Planning Officer Marto Dirchi and BEO O Langkam were the resource persons of the programme.
The gram preraks and communicators enumerated their activities and the feedback they received from students and the public. (DIPRO)
