BANDERDEWA, Jan 21: Various government departments and banking institutions provided their services to the residents here in Papum Pare district during a Sarkar Aapke Dwar (SAD) camp organised by the capital complex administration on Monday.
Banderdewa CO Jumyir Ronya Kato was the nodal officer of the camp.
In Dibang Valley district, the villagers of Angolin benefited from the SAD camp organised there by the district administration on Saturday.
In Tawang district, the administration organised a SAD camp at Teli village on Monday, which witnessed 45 government departments rendering their services to the villagers of Teli, Shurbi, Yusum, Thangka, Pempaling and nearby areas.
DC (in-charge) Sang Khandu inaugurated the camp. He distributed power tillers to two farmers from Shurbi under the CM’s Sashakt Kisan Yojana, and felicitated the toppers of the Shurbi upper primary school.
Officials from the Apex Bank and the WCD department helped two senior citizens, Tsering Pema (88) and Tenzin Tsering (78), residing at the Mahabodhi old-age home in opening savings accounts from their residence as neither of them could walk to the camp due to poor health. CDPO Dondup Pema registered their names for availing old-age pension benefits.
The DC in-charge along with DMO Dr Wangdi Lama later visited the old-age home and met the senior citizens staying there. (DIPROs)
