ZIRO, Jan 24: Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Chukhu Takar launched the NABARD’s estimated potential linked credit plan (PLP) of Rs 3700 lakhs (for the year 2019-20) for the district here on Wednesday.
Of the total estimated amount, the agricultural sector accounts for Rs 2841.71 lakhs, and micro, small and medium enterprises for Rs 631 lakhs. The credit potential for education, housing, renewable energy and social infrastructure involving bank credit is estimated at Rs 126 lakhs, Rs 72.22 lakhs, Rs 18.87 lakhs, and Rs 10.20 lakhs, respectively.
The NABARD’s District Development Manager Mewang Lowang presented a brief on the process and objectives of preparaing of the PLP document.
“The NABARD took the initiative to prepare the PLP of the district to support and facilitate a realistic rural credit planning process on the basis of the ground level realities,” Lowang said in a release.
The PLP projections serve as a basis for banks in preparing the annual credit plan, Lowang said.
