ITANAGAR, Jan 27: Members of the F Sector Women Welfare Association (FSWWA) on Saturday visited several areas of the colony here and organized awareness programmes for the residents.
The association’s members discussed various issues confronting the society, such as drug menace, the need for peace and communal harmony, etc.
AFWWA founder secretary and former IMC chief councillor Higio Aruni said that, ever since its inception in 1995, the NGO has been carrying out social welfare activities such as running the community hall, promoting culture, and creating awareness on cleanliness, health and hygiene in the locality.
Later, the team supervised a sanitation drive in the area, and appealed to the residents to use the sanitation vehicle for proper disposal of household garbage.
