ITANAGAR, Feb 11: The state BJP on Monday observed ‘Samarpan Divas’ at the party’s headquarters here by organizing various programmes.
The event is held in memory of the founder of the Jan Sangh, Pt Deendayal Upadhyay, on his death anniversary.
After floral tributes were paid by ministers, MLAs and party workers to Pt Upadhyay’s portrait, state BJP president Tapir Gao said “the first responsibility of a person is to take care of the family, followed by the community and the society.”
He said everyone should shoulder their responsibility for the development of the nation, and urged the party workers to “follow the ideologies of antodaya and manavaat ekatma to uplift the society and the nation.
