MARO, Feb 27: As many as 130 women from Maro and nearby villages benefitted from a workshop on ‘women health and menstrual hygiene’ organised here in Upper Subansiri district by the Wives of Army Officers on 25 February.
Maro is located near the Borarupak military station.
During the workshop, an army doctor delivered a lecture on health-related issues during pregnancy, and the problems faced by teenaged females.
Educational video clips were also screened, and free sanitary napkins were later distributed among the participants.
