Capital in chaos

Few days of pre-monsoon showers is causing mayhem across the state in particularly in capital complex region. The capital roads have become nightmare for the citizens. The condition of national highway 415 which connects Itanagar to Banderdewa and to Hollongi is in pathetic condition. In certain stretches especially between Chandranagar and Papu Hapa the construction work for the four lane road is going on and therefore some problem was expected during the monsoon. But even recently constructed four lane road in between Itanagar and Hollongi are deteriorating.
The complete chaos witnessed on capital roads has exposed the poor preparedness of administration. When it was known that due to ongoing four lane construction work, the condition of Itanagar to Naharlagun road will be in bad shape the administration should have made plan in advance to face any eventuality. The Itanagar-Jully-Papu Hapa road is an important bypass road and state government should have repaired it before the onset of rain. This road is an alternate for the NH 415. However at present the condition of Itanagar-Jully-Papu Hapa road is also in dismal condition. Though some repairing work was carried out months ago but just few days of pre-monsoon rain have caused massive damage to the said road. With ever increasing traffic congestion there is urgent need for serious planning to find the ways to reduce traffic. More alternate roads will have to be constructed to ease the congestion on NH 415.
