LUCKNOW, May 11: Representatives from three Northeast states – Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Meghalaya – participated in a three-day workshop on ‘capacity building for climate change adaptation proposal and implementation’ organised at the Bankers’ Institute for Rural Development (BIRD) here in Uttar Pradesh from 8-10 May.
The delegation from Arunachal included Environment & Climate Change Deputy Director D Dohu Robin, horticulture scientist Siyang Borang and RWD ASCO (Soil & Water Conservation) Bhanu Riba, among others.
The workshop, which was organised by the NABARD Consultancy Services, dwelt on matters related to the “preparation of a climate change proposal for funding under the Green Climate Fund and other adaptation proposals with international funding as per IPCC framework checklist requirements and feasibilities options as per procedure followed by the national implementing entity and guidelines under the NAPCC schemes,” according to a release from Robin.
The training was inaugurated by BIRD Director Raji Gain.
