RAGA, Jun 20: The Kamle district administration has declared the 48-hour district bandh announced by the All Kamle District Students’ Union (AKDSU) illegal under Section 144 CrPC.
The union had on Wednesday said the bandh would be imposed from 21 June.
Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi in his order on Thursday directed the union to call off the bandh.
The order also stated that the union is going ahead with the bandh in spite of assurances from the administration to look into its grievances.
The order stated that compensation for any damage or destruction caused to public or private property would be recovered from the bandh callers.
