More than 300 benefitted from Aashiana’s health camp

ITANAGAR, Jul 7: More than 300 people were benefited from a preventive health check-up cum awareness camp organized by the Arunachal State Chapter of the Aashiana, an NGO, in collaboration with Indian Medical Association (IMA) Arunachal State Branch at the Donyi-Polo Mission School, Rach Tabio village, Sagalee in Papum Pare district on Sunday.
The main aim of the camp was to bring awareness among the people, especially children and adolescent on preventive health care and menstrual hygiene.
A team of doctors from various departments conducted health check up and provided medicines to the patients during the camp. The medical cases which required further medical attention were referred to TRIHMS.
The NGO also distributed sanitary napkins, indoor and outdoor sports items, and various other items like washing and bathing soaps, tooth paste and brush.
Earlier, Sagalee MLA Nabam Tuki inaugurated the health camp amidst huge gathering.
Tuki, in his address, urged state government to make Chief Minister Universal Health Insurance Scheme effective and functional where premiere hospitals of the country are enlisted for the better service of people in need.
