ZIRO, Feb 15: The SBI lead bank here in Lower Subansiri district observed the Financial Literacy Week from 10 to 15 February.
The event is an initiative of the Reserve Bank of India to propagate financial education every year on a selected topic or theme. This year, the week was observed with the theme of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).
SBI Lead Development Manager Rajakumer Brahma highlighted various government schemes under MSME, like Udgoy Aadhar card, loan, etc.
The NABARD’s District Development Manager, M Lowang, spoke on Mudra loan and other central government schemes, the National Livestock Mission, and the procedures and guidelines to obtain Krishi credit cards.
Unemployed youths, small entrepreneurs and homestay owners participated in the campaign, which was sponsored by the NABARD.
