CHANGLANG, May 10: Addressing the shortage of vegetables in the township during the lockdown, Deputy Commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav arranged about 30 quintals of locally grown vegetables from the natural resource management groups (NaRMGs) functioning at Bordumsa circle in Changlang district.
The NaRMGs and farmers’ groups have played a pivotal role in marketing of farmers’ produces as well as ensuring door step delivery of essentials items like vegetables and food items during the lockdown.
The district administration (DA), along with NERCORMP also managed varieties of fresh, local vegetables from seven NERCORMP project villages at reasonable prices. The vegetables were locally sourced for sellers of Changlang, which will be sold at rates approved by the DA.
These NaRMGs are promoted by NERCORMP and facilitated by the NGO Singpho Development Society, Bordumsa.
