Micro-containment zone declared

YUPIA, 29 May: Papum Pare DC Pige Ligu has declared the CPC Hara Happa Centre, along with five shops adjacent to the entry point of the centre in Doimukh subdivision as a micro-containment zone, following detection of clustering of Covid-19 positive cases there through random rapid antigen tests conducted by the medical team of Doimukh.

The residents of the area have been put under home quarantine for 14 days, starting 29 May.

Further, the exemption order issued to the Tata Sumo with the registration number AR-02-6745 for ferrying essential items from Naharlagun to Hara Happa has been cancelled and police personnel at the check gates/nakas have been directed to strictly check the movement of said vehicle.

“All essential items required by the residents will be provided by coordinating with shopkeepers and home delivery firms by the Doimukh SDO, in coordination with the police and medical team,” the order read.

The SP, the DMO and the Doimukh SDO have been directed to enforce the order in strict adherence to Covid-19 SOPs. (DIPRO)
