ITANAGAR, 1 Jun: Members of the Itanagar unit of the Vivekananda Kendra Ignited Youth Forum (VKIYF) distributed stationery items to 149 students of the government college in Doimukh on Tuesday.
Keeping in mind the difficulties being faced by the students in procuring basic stationery items due to the lockdown, the forum’s members conducted door-to-door visits from Naharlagun to Doimukh and distributed stationery kits (comprising A4 sheets, pens with refills, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, dista papers and envelopes) and sanitizers. The stationery items are required by the students for their semester exam which is scheduled to commence from 3 June onwards.
Along with the stationery items, the forum’s members presented a portrait of the Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari to every student as part of the year-long ‘Ek Bharat Vijayi Bharat’ interaction programme, which was initiated last year to commemorate the golden jubilee celebration of the Vivekananda Rock Memorial.
