DIRANG, 17 Nov: ICAR-National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering and Technology (NINFET), Kolkata, in collaboration with ICAR-National Research Centre (NRC) on Yak organized a one-day workshop on ‘Scope of Entrepreneurship Development in Yak Based Products’ here in West Kameng district on 16 November.
During the technical sessions, Principal Scientist (animal nutrition) of NRC on Yak, Dr D Medhi told about the scope of entrepreneurship prospects of the technologies of ICAR-NRC on Yak. Principal Scientist of NINFET, Dr AN Roy delivered a lecture on ‘entrepreneurship development in Yak fibre- way forward’.
This was followed by an interactive session with the participants.
Dr Roy also enlightened the participants on ‘product development in Yak fibre -present scenario’.
Earlier, Director of NRC on Yak, Dr M Sarkar briefed about the workshop.
The showcasing of technologies was carried out in the post lunch session in the laboratory of the institute.
A total of 70 participants, including two development officers of the Textile and Handicrafts department participated in the workshop.
