ITANAGAR, 6 Dec: The state will observe the Armed Forces Flag Day on Tuesday.
The day is observed on 7 December every year throughout the country to honour the martyrs and the men in uniform who valiantly fought and continue to fight on the nation’s borders to safeguard the honour and integrity of the country.
The day is dedicated to collection of funds from the people by selling Indian flags, stickers and other items for the welfare of the ex-servicemen, serving personnel, injured soldiers and the families of the fallen soldiers.
The citizens have been urged to make voluntary contribution towards the noble cause. (DIPR)
