ITANAGAR, 10 Jul: Taw Pakba of Arunachal Pradesh settled for a bronze medal after suffering a 0-5 loss to Services Sports Control Board’s Pretty Malik in the semifinal of the 5th Youth Men’s National Boxing Championship in Chennai on Sunday.
In boxing, both the losing semifinalists are given a bronze medal each. The medal-giving ceremony will be held on Monday after the final bout.
Pakba has become the first boxer from Arunachal to win a medal in the youth category of the men’s national boxing championship.
