TAWANG, 23 Jan: Tawang ZPC Leki Gombu convened a coordination meeting with all the zilla parishad members, the district panchayat development officer (DPDO), and member secretaries and officers of the panchayati raj department in his office here on Monday.
Addressing the participants, Gombu said, “We have to immediately start work under SOR 10 percent share of the state’s own resources as per guidelines,” and informed that several other districts have “already completed the works taken up, and funds from state share has also been placed to them.”
He asked the ZPMs to “immediately take up work in their respective zilla constituencies, in consultation with the gram panchayats.” He said also that “the developmental activities taken up under the 14th FC are to be completed by February 2023, while activities taken up under the 15th FC, the RGSA, the ECC and health grants are to be completed and utilisation certificate submitted by March 2023.”
“The works under the SOR should be completed by February 2023. The state government will not provide any further fund to non-performing panchayats,” he informed.
DPDO Tenzin Jambey, ZPMs, member secretaries and PTAs also submitted their suggestions, and highlighted the problems they face in implementing schemes. (DIPRO)
