DEOMALI, 16 Feb: Basar (Leparada)-based ICAR AP Centre Joint Director L Wangchu reiterated the role of the Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVK) in “technology testing, technology transfer, and developing scientific temperament among the farmers,” during a Scientific Advisory Committee meeting of the Tirap KVK here on Friday.
Addressing the 17 attendees, he urged them to “seek technical guidance and put forward your suggestions to KVK for need-based intervention.”
The KVK’s subject matter specialists presented the 2023-2024 progress report, and the 2024-2025 proposed action plan.
The proposed OFT, FLD, training programmes, and other extension activities were also discussed.
The house later approved the progress report and the proposed action plan.
Among others, KVK Head Dr Narendra Kumar, ADC Vishakha Yadav, and the district agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and veterinary departments’ heads attended the meeting. (DIPRO)
