Degrees useless when jobs are sold

Editor,

After the job scam and the selling of government jobs exam papers in our state started circulating on social media, my brother, who is currently studying in Class 10 at the Govt Secondary School, Daporijo, asked me what his degree and hard work would mean if government jobs are sold by the backdoor by the government itself? His dream of become a government servant has been affected.

Every parent/guardian wants to see their wards stand on their own feet. For that, they sacrifice everything to ensure proper education for their wards. However, sadly, thousands of aspirants have become victims of injustice, and our collective dreams have been shattered, knowing that our wards’ degrees and talent would be futile because of corrupt authority and government.

Hence, I vehemently condemn those papers sellers and the corrupt government of our state. Now I pray to god to bless the current job recruiting authority with wisdom to uplift the society on the basis of equality and equity.
