PASIGHAT, 12 Jul: Mebo ADC Sibo Passing on Friday launched ‘Ke’tir Momi’r Gokying (Mission Green and Clean Ayeng)’ on the occasion of his adopting the government upper primary school in Ayeng here in East Siang district.
The event was attended by senior citizens, teachers and HoDs of Mebo subdivision, besides GBs, public leaders, members of civil society groups and SHGs, religious leaders, students, and the people of Ayeng village.
The ADC informed that “Ke’tir Momi’r tree, indigenous to Ayeng village, is a subtropical fruit bearing evergreen tree that provides ample shade and greenery round the year.”
“Through this mission, I am trying to encourage the people of Ayeng village to plant as many numbers of the wonder tree called Ke’tir Momi’r, including every house yard, school, community centre, religious prayer centre, and village avenue road all over Ayeng village,” the ADC saidd.
“The success of the mission shall certainly change the aesthetic greenery and cleanliness of Ayeng village,” he added. (DIPRO)
