Postpone APPSCCE date

Editor,

I would like to appeal to the new APPSC chairman and members to postpone the examination date of the APPSCCE. The exam calendar issued by the APPSC on 5 August has caused sudden panic and anxiety among the aspirants who have waited for the APPSCCE.

Information regarding the date of any competitive exam should be released 8-9 months prior to the exam, as there needs to be a gap for the aspirants to better prepare for the exam.

Previously, the APPSC had always notified the exam date 8-9 months ahead of the exam. Why has the exam date been released in a rush this time, without any proper notification even about the numbers of seats for the posts?

Some of the aspirants are preparing also for the upcoming LDC, UDC and MTS exams being conducted by the Pasighat (E/Siang)-based Arunachal Pradesh University this month or in the coming months.

Everyone knows that the syllabus and the pattern for the division clerks’ examination are completely different from the APPSC exams. To instinctively switch on the mind to prepare for other exams will be difficult for the students; therefore they require more time to prepare for the APPSCCE.

I request the APPSC chairman to reschedule the exams and at least give the unemployed candidates more than 6 or 7 month for preparing for the exams.
