PASIGHAT, 27 Aug: Power supply to Pasighat and adjoining areas, including Mebo, in East Siang district, which had been snapped by strong winds on 24 August midnight, has been restored.
Power department officials on Sunday issued a public circular, informing that restoration of the power line along the Aalo-Pasighat tower line is under progress,and assured to complete the restoration within two to three days.
On the other hand, there was a technical fault reported along the Chapakhowa-Roing-Pasighat 132 Kv line, which was causing total disruption of power supply in the region. The power grid officials, who carried out inspection along the tower line, finally detected the fault, repaired the defective portion, and restored the power supply all along the line on Tuesday morning.
