RGU organises street plays on waste mgmt

RONO HILLS, 26 Sep: Street plays were jointly organised by the psychology and the social work departments of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) near the social science building block of the university and the Doimukh main market on Thursday to raise awareness about solid waste management, as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign.

The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from first-semester undergraduate students. The plays, which were centred on the theme of ‘solid waste management,’ emphasised the importance of proper waste segregation at the household level. They showcased practical solutions to the growing issue of waste mismanagement, shedding light on the need for conscious efforts in maintaining cleanliness.

Psychology HoD Dr Proshanto Kumar Saha and Social Work HoD Dr Kaushalendra Pratap Singh, besides Psychology Assistant professor Dr Kakali Goswami and teaching assistants from both departments were also present on the occasion.
