APPSCCE postponement not viable for ageing aspirants

Editor,

The postponement of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCCE) has led to chaos among the aspirants who are ageing, as they might become overage by the time the exam date is announced. It is especially difficult for those who are economically challenged and dependent on their parents.

While the final-year undergraduate and masters’ students are seeking postponement of the APPSCCE as it coincides with the RGU exam, the ratio of final-year students is much less compared to the ageing aspirants who have waited for more than four years. We want the APPSCCE to be conducted on time.

Many final-year students have mentioned issues such as examination centres, but it’s no big deal because their colleges will be examination centres; therefore the exam need not be deferred.

We hope that the APPSC will come up with the best way to resolve this tussle and conduct the exam as per the APPSC’s tentative date.
