ITANAGAR, 5 Dec: Local MLA and adviser to the UD minister, Techi Kaso, on Thursday informed that two projects – an artisan-cum-handicraft exhibition centre in Chimpu, and facelift of Ganga Market – are at the finishing stage and would be ready for inauguration very shortly.

Kaso said this after inspecting four ongoing project sites here on Thursday, along with officials of the Itanagar Smart City Development Corporation Limited (ISCDCL), to assess their progress on the ground. The projects included

the artisan-cum-handicraft exhibition centre in Chimpu, renovating the clock tower, and retrofitting and redeveloping IG Park.

Kaso informed that the major components of the retrofitting and redevelopment of IG Park have been completed, “except other ancillary components such as park illumination, jogging track, etc.”

He directed the contractor to expedite the work of the “placemaking at clock tower by resolving all utility shifting issues for public convenience.”

He further directed the contractors and the officials of the ISCDCL to complete all projects within the extended timeline of the mission, which is 31 March,2025.
