AALO, 6 Dec: The North East Frontier Technical University (NEFTU) here in West Siang district, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit and the Red Ribbon Club of NEFTU, organised a motorcycle rally on Friday to create awareness about HIV/AIDS.
The rally, led by NSS Programme Officer Tabang J Tai, was powered by the Arunachal Pradesh State AIDS Control Society, and was flagged off by NEFTU vice-chancellor Dr Tejum Padu from Nehru Chowk here.
Themed ‘Take the right path: My health, my right’, the rally was aimed at promoting public awareness on the importance of HIV/AIDS prevention and the rights of individuals to access health services.
Starting from Aalo, the participants rode to Kaying.
Earlier, Dr Padu emphasised the university’s commitment to social responsibility and community outreach. He highlighted the pivotal role of educational institutions in fostering awareness about critical health issues, especially in remote and rural areas.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of NSS volunteers, students, faculty members, and local residents. (DIPRO)
