PASIGHAT, 23 Dec: Nutrition baskets were handed out to five tuberculosis (TB) patients adopted by the Arunachal Pradesh University (APU) under the Nikshay Mitra programme, here in East Siang district on Sunday.
A dedicated team from the university conducted a door-to-door follow-up visit to deliver nutrition baskets to the patients.
The nutrition baskets provided by the university are carefully designed to meet the nutritional needs of TB patients, ensuring they receive the necessary support throughout their treatment journey.
“These baskets will continue to be provided on a monthly basis until the patients complete their treatment, emphasising the university’s ongoing commitment to their recovery and wellbeing,” the APU stated in a release.
The patients reported significant improvement in their health and expressed optimism about their full recovery, it said.
