ITANAGAR, 31 Mar: India went down fighting 0-1 to Tajikistan in a keenly contested match of the U-23 Tri-Nation Football Championship at the Golden Jubilee Stadium in Yupia on Tuesday evening.
Mukhin Alksadr scored the only goal of the match in the ninth minute.
India created several chances, especially in the second half, but failed to convert, with missed opportunities costing them dearly.
India had beaten Bhutan 5-0 in their other match, while Tajikistan had defeated Bhutan 1-0 earlier this week.
