BOMDILA, 31 Mar: The West Kameng district administration, in coordination with officials of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh’ border protection and development departments, the Survey of India, and Itanagar-based Arunachal Pradesh Space Application Centre, has commenced joint survey for the erection of border pillars along the interstate boundary with Assam.
The survey work was formally initiated in the Chopai area in Kamengbari-Doimara circle, which shares its boundary with Sonitpur district of Assam.
West Kameng Deputy Commissioner Dr Dilip Kumar supervised the survey operations and reviewed the progress on the ground. He was accompanied by key district officials, including the additional deputy commissioners of Singchung and Bomdila, the Bomdila DSP, the DLRSO, the Khellong divisional forest officer, and engineers from the public works department.
