AALO, 1 Apr: West Siang DC Mindo Loyi on Wednesday launched the 100-day TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), covering West Siang, Leparada, Lower Siang, and Shi-Yomi districts.
Activities will include targeted screening among vulnerable populations, sputum collection, mobilisation of nikshay mitras, and nikshay camps at ayushman arogya mandirs to provide screening services for BP, BMI and blood sugar.
During the programme, elected representatives will be involved to raise awareness among the people about TB-related stigma and mobilise community support.
DMO Dr Linya Lollen, DRCHO Dr Jomnya Ado, District TB Officer Dr Nyade Padu Bagra and all the vertical programme officers and staff of the health department attended the programme. (DIPRO)
