KHONSA, 1 Apr: Tirap DC Techu Aran urged gaon buras (GBs) to maintain close coordination and cooperation with the district administration, security forces, and various government departments whenever required.
While handing over appointment letters to four GBs at his office here on Wednesday, the DC urged them to discharge their duties with sincerity and dedication.
The state government recently appointed GBs for Khela, Chomuithung, Dongrong, and Old Doidam villages in Tirap district.
The newly appointed GBs are Wangphun Socia (Khela), Hangton Khusia (Chomuithung), Wangdi Sawin (Dongrong) and Teran Thingnok (Old Doidam).
Aran expressed hope that the newly appointed GBs would play an important role in maintaining peace and harmony, and in strengthening communication between the administration and the villagers in their respective areas. Assistant Commissioner Yowa Anya was also present. (DIPRO)
