ITANAGAR, 2 Apr: The East Siang district unit of the Arunachal Teachers’ Association (ATA) has deeply mourned the untimely demise of its member, Oshor Perme Ratan, a resident of Kiyit village in Mebo subdivision.
She breathed her last on the morning of 31 March after a prolonged illness at Bakin Pertin General Hospital, Pasighat. She was 58 years old.
Born on 28/12/1968, she had joined the department of education on 07/02/1991 and began her service at the government primary school in Nongkhi, Changlang. At the time of her demise, she was serving as TGT at the PM SHRI government secondary school in Kiyit, East Siang district.
She was known for her sincerity, dedication, and commitment throughout her service. “It is an irreparable loss to the society,” said ATA district unit secretary Kalen Komut, adding that “her demise has created an irreplaceable vacuum in the teaching fraternity.”
Late Ratan is survived by her husband, two sons, and one daughter.
The ATA unit extended heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
