NAMSAI, 2 Apr: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein emphasised the importance of skill development, entrepreneurship, and adapting to the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
Attending TECHXPLORE 2.0, the Inter-Polytechnic College Meet 2026, held at CP Namchoom Government Polytechnic College here on Thursday, the DCM encouraged the youths to “move beyond conventional job seeking and become job creators, contributing to a self-reliant and Viksit Arunachal.”
He said that platforms like TECHXPLORE 2.0 play a vital role in fostering innovation, collaboration, and practical learning among students from technical institutions across the state.
On the occasion, the DCM paid tribute to late CP Namchoom by unveiling his bust made of brass.
Remembering him as a mentor, visionary leader, and a person with whom he shared a close affinity, Mein said that “late Namchoom’s legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.”
The deputy chief minister also inaugurated the newly constructed auditorium in the institution premises. The facility is expected to serve as a vibrant centre for academic engagement, innovation, and co-curricular activities for students.
The DCM witnessed an exhibition featuring a model irrigation system integrated with modern technology. He appreciated the efforts of students in applying technical knowledge to address real-world challenges, particularly in the agriculture sector.
The ‘Robo War’ competition emerged as another major attraction of the event, showcasing the creativity, technical expertise, and competitive spirit of the participants.
The DCM expressed satisfaction at the growing interest among youths in robotics and emerging technologies. He said that such initiatives reflect the immense potential of the youths in driving innovation and building a technologically empowered Arunachal Pradesh.
