SILLE-OYAN, Jul 13: The semi-decomposed body of an elderly non-local man has been found by villagers at Sika-Tode here in East Siang district.
As per the inquiry report of the investigating officer of the Sille-Oyan police station, it is learnt that the dead body was carried down by floodwater due to the incessant rainfall over the past few days.
On Monday, Executive Magistrate H Panggeng asked any person having information about any missing person, or anyone who could identify the body, to report to the Sille-Oyan police station within 24 hours.
“In case no one reports to claim the body within the stipulated time, the body will be disposed of as per established procedure,” the magistrate said.
